Your team can expect the best competition,
facilities, game format, officials and organization when it
enters the Miss Basketball Shootout.
The Shootout annually features high school programs from Colorado,
Wyoming, South
Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and has drawn teams from as far
as California.
The
2010
Shootout entry form is available as a PDF file, open & print!
You can also register online with a
credit card. Our 2010 dates are Saturday-Sunday, June 12-13.
The Shootout is a two-day
super hoops event that offers coaches and players a unique opportunity to
play 6 regulation games against teams from all parts of Nebraska and
surrounding states.
The Shootout offers big and small school divisions, as
well as junior varsity divisions to ensure you play competitive games
throughout!
ALL TEAMS PLAY 6
GAMES...each team will play 3 pool play games on the first day
and 3 tournament games on the second day.
REAL GAME SITUATIONS...games consist of
four-8 minute quarters, with the clock stopping on all whistles.
Teams receive five time-outs per game and can play man or zone defense.
EXPERIENCED OFFICIALS...we hire
certified officials from across the state and have a number of state
tournament and college officials.
OUTSTANDING FACILITIES...we
use several very nice gyms at Kearney High, Kearney Catholic, Sunrise
Middle School, along with Axtell
and Elm Creek High Schools.
NEW COMPETITION...with
teams from across Nebraska & surrounding states, it's a great opportunity to play teams that
are not on your regular season schedule!
I take great pride in the fact that a
very high percentage of teams return from year-to-year for this event, and
recommend it to their coaching friends. I have no doubt that if you
enter the Shootout for the first time, you will be back many times.
We are excited that
the 2009 Miss Basketball Shootout was our second largest ever with 92
teams. With most teams returning from year-to-year, the 2010 event will certainly fill
quickly!
The
2010 entry form is available as a
PDF file, simply open (uses Adobe
Acrobat) and print. If you have any problems, let us know and we will mail
you a brochure.
Our entry
deadline will be sometime in late April, depending on when we reach our
96-team limit. Be sure to
contact Doug Koster
at 308-237-4012 or
shoot
us an e-mail if you have any questions.
