Your team can expect the best
competition, facilities, game format, organization and officials when it enters the Mr. Basketball Slamfest
tournament.
More than 100 high school
programs include the Slamfest in their summer plans each year.
The
2010 Slamfest
entry form is available as a PDF file, open & print! You can also
register online with a credit card.
The Slamfest is a two-day super hoops event that offers
coaches and players a unique opportunity to play 6 regulation games
against teams from all parts of Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota,
Iowa, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming.
TWO SESSIONS FOR BIG &
SMALL SCHOOLS...two different sessions in
late May provide separate divisions for big &
small schools (see dates & divisions below).
ALL TEAMS PLAY 6
GAMES...each team will play 3 pool play games on the first day
and 3 tournament games on the second day.
REAL GAME SITUATIONS...games
consist of four-8 minute quarters, with the clock stopping on all whistles.
Teams receive two time-outs per game and can play man or zone defense.
EXPERIENCED OFFICIALS...we
hire certified officials to work all games!
OUTSTANDING FACILITIES...we
use several nice facilities at the UNK Health &
Sports Center, Kearney High, Kearney Catholic, Sunrise Middle School and
Horizon Middle School.
NEW COMPETITION...with
teams from across the state & neighboring states, it's a great opportunity to play teams that
are not on your regular season schedule!
BIG SCHOOL AND
SMALL SCHOOL DIVISIONS...ensure you play competitive games
throughout! We also have separate divisions for junior varsity teams.
Entry fee is $48 per player, with a
minimum of 8 players strongly recommended.

I take great pride in the fact that a
very high percentage of teams return from year-to-year for this event, and
recommend it to their coaching friends. I have no doubt that if you
enter the Slamfest for the first time, you will be back many times.
To enter your
team, please click

entry form for a printable entry form. Be sure to submit the
entry form and a $48 deposit to hold your team's spot. The balance will
be due in late April. Teams are accepted on a first-come, first served basis
until we reach our limit (usually late April).
